Tier 1 Investor
To qualify for a UK Tier 1 Investor visa, you must reach at least £2 million and be willing to invest your funds in actively trading UK companies. As a UK Investor visa applicant, you will not need to satisfy any English language requirement.
UK Tier 1 Investor Visa Requirement
In order to qualify for a Tier 1 Investor visa, you will need to fulfil the following UK Investor visa requirements:
- You have funds amounting to at least £2 million belonging to yourself, your partner or the two of you jointly;
- The money is held in a regulated financial institution;
- The money is freely transferable to the UK and able to be converted to pounds sterling;
- You have opened a bank account with the UK regulated bank for the purpose of investing not less than £2 million in the UK.
The visa is granted for 3 years and 4 months, 3 years if processed in the UK. Tier 1 visa can be extended for a further 2 years if all criteria are met.
Tier 1 visa can lead to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in 2-5 years and to citizenship in 5-6 years, if all the eligibility criteria are met. An accelerated settlement option is available and dependent on the amount of invested capital – £ 10 million leads to ILR after 2 years, or £ 5 million for ILR in 3 years.
Tier 1 visa entry fees and Tier 1 visa extension depend on cases. Contact us and we will provide a bespoke quote based on an in-depth assessment of your case.
